Is it considered chatting if an individual asks a Question to millions of people?

Chatting is where people are conversing in real time and with a constant reply to each other. A forum cannot be considered a chat room because responses are not necessarily real time.
How can it be considered chatting when when there is only one reply albeit from many people?
If the words "you" and "I" are considered as individual chat words then 95% of all Questions are deemed as "CHAT" therefore this forum is a chat forum and is in violation of itself
Hey, my violation got lifted. I hope they don't get offended by this Question! hehehe
Every Question ever asked is seeking knowledge. The response can be beneficial to many people regardles of the quality of the Question. This person has asked Questions about breakfast, lunch and dinner. They were not deleted so your arguments are false.
Nancy C - Thank you for your input.
perhaps if your undies were not bloomers, he might iron them?
By allowing to "Add Details" only incites chatting and responses to Answers. An Answer may also be edited to include more info or and edit.

Yahoo has its own definition of chatting. It is asking a trivial question that does not seek knowledge. "What are you having for dinner?" is chatting based on their definition which is what we go by.

Technically "What do YOU think about ...." is chatting but is borderline.

"What do you think about a ham sandwich for lunch?" may be a violation.
"What do you think about the supreme court nominee?" may not be.

This is not a forum. It is a Q and A site. For this site chat is a question you would ask a friend you meet in the street. How are you today.
