Is it common courtesy for bouncers to grab drinks out of your hands at the end of

the night? I barely ever go out and my friend decided he wanted to go to a bar called Elroys in downtown Bloomington IL. Everything was good up till last call one of my friends ordered us some more drinks and these were like "venti" size drinks. Within a few minutes they were already pushing trying to get people out the door and so my friends and I walked near the door trying to finish our drinks only to have them literally grabbed out of our hands and thrown away. I understand the staff wants to get out of there, but this doesn't seem right to me! I am a sales representative for a cell phone company and if customers end up staying past close I can't just grab their phones and kick them out so why are they allowed to pull this. I've also never been to my share of bars back in my college days and have never seen this behavior in any other bar!
