is it best to just stop eating?

ive been trying to loose weight by eating better and exercising but it doesnt seem to be working. my sisters friend is really thin and she hardley eats anything. would it be best to just stop for like a week? and maybe eat raisins or something when i can't take it?
 
um, are you serious?!!? if you dont eat you'll be anorexic! first of all, if you dont eat then your body can't function correctly. are you sure your sister's friend is not anorexic? are you sure you have been eating healthy and exercising correctly? maybe your not even heavy but think you are.. how much do you weigh and how tall are you? if you really think you are over weight, join weight watchers or do the south beach diet. they are healthy food habits that get you healthy and help you loose weight at the same time! for weight lose, your supposed to exercise i believe for 2 hours a day.. join track or take dance.. what ever form of exercise interests you :) hope this helps!
 
NO. Doing that basically starves yourself, it makes you very weak, and slows down your metabolism, which can actually make you gain weight. if you really need to lose weight, you need to do it by a proven, balanced diet, lots of water, vigorous exercise, and a decent amount of sleep.
