Is it bad to cross your legs?

Is it bad to cross one's legs? I mean where you cross your knees/thighs, not near your ankles (though I sit that way too). Are there any known health problems related to this? Thanks.

Of course you can cross your legs. Why not?

And if blood flow was cut off, as the first reply suggests, then you feel "pins and needles"/numbness and can uncross them.

If it's bad for you to cross your legs then it's bad for you to walk, run, breathe, defecate and urinate.

This is what I've heard, but I heard that you shouldn't do it for a long period of time. The longest I sit with my legs crossed is maybe a total of 1 hour per day (all split up).

I agree about the pins and needles, if it's uncomfortable then we just uncross them...

I still worry about it though.
