is it bad or good when a bike engine has been repaired?

im about to buy a 1994 xr200r and in the description you can read "repaired a few months ago" but i don't no if this is a good or a bad hint about the bike's state what does "engine repair" means, that it has been wrecked, or something like that?

your questions mean nothing here ! you should be asking the person selling the machine .Way to ask is - what was damaged on/in the engine . was repair carried out by motorcycle or engine shop and have you a receipt for the repair. Has machine been down hard or wrecked. when you go to look at the machine take a friend with you and have him hold the machine upright so you can check if wheels are in line ( frame is straight ) also look at bike in general and look -do not let your want of a machine let you overlook what will cost you cash later. good riding friend.
