Is it bad luck to kill fish?

So I have some fish and I no longer want them.

Should I kill them?

Flush down the toilet?

I know this is horrible, but is it bad luck?

You are mean. Take them to the petstore where they'll at least have a chance of life. The store should take them off your hands. Killing anything is wrong.

Sometimes the pet store will take them back.

If you didn't really want fish why did you buy them?
