Is it bad for your car to do this...?

Would it be bad for your (just examples, low end car) Toyoto Yaris to "autobahn drive" like just full throttle, putting it up to close to red line and then shifting and doing this all the time, would it shorten the life of the Toyota?

Would it be bad for your Porsche 911 Turbo (high-end car, obviously) to "autobahn drive" running it up to almost red line and shifting, and doing it often, would it shorten the life of the Porsche?

Thanks,

Josh

well a cheap car is cheap because it's made with cheap parts. so over time the Yaris will wear and damage. The porsche however can handle this, since its made for things like that. But, all cars go through the same road test which include "autobahn drive" or "neutral shift". so check out the magazine Road and Driver.
