Is it appropriate to take the lawyers who act for the company to lunch?

I don't have much experience with these things. we are a small business and the lawyers are doing quite a few things for us. would it be expected for us to take them out to lunch at the company's expense? would it be more of a nice gesture, or would it just be weird?
