You Remain With Them? Parents... I'm just curious if you have kids in sports, do you ever drop them off at practice and pick them up at the end or do you feel that it is inappropriate to leave them at practice and you must stay and spectate all practices and all games?
I'm especially interested in anyone's answer who has multiple kids and is accustomed to splitting time and focus between them.
There is a debate going on with my sons team. The coach says it's lack of common decency not to stay and spectate the practices... I think because he feels that if he must be there the whole time for his kid so should every parent, if I understood his point accurately.
As a parent this seems ridiculous to me, because if I had that kind of time I would've just volunteered to coach myself.... hence the whole reason I paid $310 for both kids to play baseball... and my brother assistant coaches so I don't see why I need to be there, unless he wants me to fill in to help when he can't make it.
What do you guys think?
Oh, and it's a farm league of 8-10 yr olds, if that helps to know.
