Is it alright to go to random-chat sites like Omegle?

I'm 17, and over the summer I've discovered ICQ and Omegle. It was entertaining, and interesting to meet people from another part of the world over the internet. It's just bothering me a bit with all those people asking for skype and kik or anything. So...is it alright? To what extent?
 
its totally natural as long as it doesnot take over your life and becomes your most favourite hobby....use it as a stepping stone in dating,rather than thinking of it as the ultimate experience
