If you kill but you had or you would it die.You had to kill save your life someone attacks someone whit intentions to end his or her life and you figth them and you kill them to defend your life

The commandment "Thou shalt not kill." is misunderstood by a lot of people. You have to understand the language usage of the day the English bible was translated. The proper word used today to give the meaning of the original Hebrew word is murder. Therefore the commandment properly translated into modern word usage is "Thou shalt not murder". Though it is never a good thing to take the life of another person, there is a difference between murder and self defense or defense of the innocent. The latter two are acceptable under God's law and man's.

Murder is the intention of killing someone with malice. Self-defence is considered murder but it is necessary. There is no reason for anyone to die if a person had not attempted to commit murder in the first place.

Am I making sense?

It wouldn't be a sin to kill people in the defense of others, yourself or the greater good. It would however be a sin in my opinion to not take any action simply due to fear of the possible repercussions, especially when you know what the right action is.

I was a combat soldier and have killed a number of people, with rifle, pistol, bayonet and knife. And perhaps many more with grenades.

I never gave a damn about God, or what he thought. When someone is doing his best to kill you, you get in the first shot, or you die.

It's all very well for Christians to pontificate about right and wrong whilst sitting in a comfortable armchair with a cup of coffee, and quite another when someone is coming at you with a fixed bayonet and hate in his eyes.

And I sleep soundly in my bed without any regrets whatsoever.

No! This is called self defense. God does not look at this as a sin.
