Is it actually accepted for rugby league players to kick each other and use violence...

...in the game? I just saw on channel 10 news that a under 16's game at black town had a brawl and a boy was kicked in the head and groin and has a fractured eye-socket, then the other team was cheered on by their parents with high-fives.

I was shocked and discouraged, has anyone heard this? I think it is a disgrace that people actually think that if you kick someone and injure someone and put them in pain you are considered tough and manly.

You can't use violence in any other sports, why should this be praised?

Thugs are praised, you can't knock out someone in public, you would be charged and even arrested, so they should be charged and their parents fined.

Is thuggish behaviour accepted?
Josh - Get this through your thick head, I was asking if it was accepted in the game, meaning in some parts of it.
I don't recall asking if it was acceptable in the whole of the rugby league community. Thanks anyway MATE!
