Is it acne?

Hey i just need some advice because not so long ago i started breaking out with spots on my chest, stomach and back except it hasn't been like normal acne spots so i can't be sure if that's what it is. It's just kind of like dark spots on my skin which have a rubbery kind of texture and have now started peeling. I originally thought it may be acne because i stopped breaking out as much on my face but around the same time i got my navel pierced so i'm wondering if it may be an allergic reaction to that? although it's not itchcy.

Can anyone help?
 
Hmm, it sounRAB like it could be either one.

If it's an allergic reaction, it could probably be taken care of (or at least helped) with taking an antihistimine and using some hydrocortizone on the affected area.

Acne, well is acne. I know on my back, I used to have it where I didn't really break out with pustules, but it would just get all blotchy looking and gross.

If you can't figure out what it is and you're concerned about it, I'd recommend seeing a doc. A dermatologist would be best...but even going to see your primary care physician, or even an urgent care doc (who I go to for most of my medical ailments...) would probably be able to guide you in the right direction.
