Is it a good sign if the girl i like has been talking about me to her friends?

I noticed at work that one of her best friends as a customer calls my name and says 'Hi" and I don't even know him. He is supposedly her best friend and he is also gay. Anyways is this a good sign for me as it shows that she has been talking about me? Im asking because I like her and would like to go out with her.
