Is it a good idea to ask a girl out who goes to a different school and lives 40min away?

(or 1hr - 1.5hrs by public transport - transport by car isn't too practical as I don't own one and so can only borrow my parents' when they're not in use, and they're divorced).

Also assume that I've got a good chance of her saying 'yes'.

Oh, and I'm in year 12...
