Is it a good idea if I go to this camping trip for $270.00?

Please read the entire thing (I tried to fit everything in briefly).
This camping trip is one of those once-in-a-lifetime things. I will never have an opportunity to go on a camping trip with kids my age (12 yrs, I'm using my older sister's Y!A account). Everyone has said that this camp is amazing and worth the money. Some of my friends aren't going though. So I'm not sure if it is worth it...
The camp has won many awards, like one I remember the best was an award for having a healthy variety of foods, in fact, there is an all-you-can-eat-buffet. It includes at least different 5 winter activities that we will do during the time we are there (three days and two nights). There is also a dance and karaoke party. We also can't choose our roommates and we have to share a room with about 15-20 people (same gender).
BUT... last year the kids only had to pay $150.00 and the kids were allowed to choose their roommates.
My family can pay for it without getting financially hurt.

What's your opinion? And parents, would you pay for your kids to go on a camping trip?

My parents wanted me to go on a trip for five nights to the Mediterranean, but I wasn't keen to go because it would be with people I didn't know very well, and had separation anxiety at the time. This camping trip sounds amazing, and I would go while you have the chance. All you can eat? 15-20 roommates? KARAOKE?!!! You're so lucky. Think of all the fun you can have! Two nights isn't too long, so if you are in a room with people you don't know, it won't be for long. And, it will give you a chance to meet new friends if you're put in a room with them.
If your parents are happy to let you go, I say take it. Think of what you'd be missing out on!
Have fun, whether you go or not.
