is it a fire hazard to have electronics running inside your tent from a power strip

its better to turn the power strip off when im not around the tent right?
oh yeah...im in an apartment, by the way.
 
I guess it depends on what your using.Hot plates might be unsafe.You should be fine with tv's and lites etc.Try and keep your power strip dry and you should be fine.good luck
 
It's unsafe to leave a "power strip" exposed to rain or dew
in the first place.
Unless the cord to that power strip is an orange outdoor/rough duty cord,
the whole scheme is unsafe.
