No I don't think so. I spite of being surrounded by nuclear weapon possessing countries (Israel, Pakistan, India, Russia and China) I believe that they wish nuclear power for civil purposes particularly as they are suffering trade sanctions which is leading to fuel shortages.

It is very likely that they are. That is why the next president should engage them diplomatically so we don't have to consider going to war with rogue nuclear power or be concerned that they will nuke Israel. All Iran really wants is for the west to engage them politically and economically. They've been isolated for so long that they decided that becoming a nuclear state would get them onto the world stage. They were right. But they don't want us to invade them, they just want us to talk to them and trade with them. What's too bad is that none of the idiots in Washington get that.

our government as well as israel's sure want to scare us to thinking that is the case. That is how government's win the people's support to start war... Fear ... and the idea that we are all in danger. But if we look more closely we might see that if this guy ever develops one and uses it... IT IS INSTANT SUICIDE FOR HIS COUNTRY. And i don't think he is that stupid. Doesn't mean he wouldn't like to have one for defense purposes. If you had a bunch of bullies slandering and misquoting everything you said and threatening to invade your home, it sure would be nice to a have a good deterrant. So Iran needs a good deterrant. But don't believe the hype that they would be first to launch.
