Is IQ quiz an online cellphone scam?

I guess a lot of people have fallen for this.. well today I gave them my cellphone # to find out my IQ and put in the pin that was given, online.. apparently i got a text saying "thank you for joining IQ quiz, 2 stop this reply STOP" then i replied 'STOP' to stop getting messages from them and they replied back saying "we will no longer send you messages".. would they still charge me monthly or is there any extra charges within this whole text msg conversation??

Ive never fell for such cell phone scams and I don't wanna pay extra charges..
