Is industrial fishing prohibited in the Red sea? If yes, since when?

I've heard recently that in Hurghada, Egypt, you can't get any fresh fish at the restaurant as industrial fishing in the Red Sea is prohibited. I highly doubt it, that's why started looking for some accurate info if this fact is true or not.
