Is Inception worth watching or is it a big pile of overhyped nonsense about nothing!!

Overhyped nonsense about nothing. It seemed to be a series of unrelated scenes strung together. No plot to speak of. I couldnt wait for it to end. However i was getting married that week and had a lot of stuff to do and think about so maybe it just went over my head as I had too much to think about.

Why not see it and make your own mind up. It wasn't my particular cup of tea, but it's certainly a sizeable cut above what's usually dished out during the summer. This thread alone proves it's got people talking, and that's always a good thing.

fantastic cinema experience, i imagine it will lose a little impact on the smaller screen.

problem with films like this is you can get very suspicious of the great reviews and hype, and you find yourself researching it even more and all it does is kill the movie for you. it seems you've now pre-programmed yourself to go in looking for flaws and faults, and to think 'this is not going to be whats its made out to be'

you'll probably hate it now which is a real shame.

You have to decide for yourself, personally I was bored, found it went on too long (I guess it had to explain itself to the average cinema goer) and wasn't all that clever, didn't have nearly as much action as I was expecting, even the ending was a bit of a let down, Total Recall did the "is it / isn't it" thing better.

Definitely worth watching.

At two and a half hours, it's not that long either. That's a fairly standard running time for a film these days. The Kung Fu Kid was the same length.

Oh come on, there were loaRAB of similarities. How about the whole limbo thing? Not to mention the fact that both films had an "Architect"

Well if I had the choice again to watch it or not to watch it, I wouldn't watch it. I found it over-hyed and lacked any real depth beyond the initial concept. The concept itself was good but the execution was very mediocre imo. It was like a heist set in a dream. The most interesting part of the movie was when Leonardo's character described what had happened to his wife. Now if they had explored that aspect more instead off all this scam nonsense it would have been a lot better imo.
