Both are prohibited by the Bible, and pre-marital sex can cause unwanted pregnancy...which often leads to abortions...or unhappy marriages by couples trying to "do the right thing" by getting married after the girl gets pregnant, even though those kinds of marriages don't tend to last long.
Since it says in the Bible that ALL SINS are equal in the eyes of the Lord, then shouldn't the Christian lobbyists who are devoting all this time and effort to try to prevent gays from getting married be spending an EQUAL amount of effort trying to outlaw sex before marriage and make that a criminal act?
It seems like their personal prejudices against gays are causing them to try to enforce God's laws with unequal fervor. Why should gays be singled out and constantly told that they're living sinful lives and going to hell? Shouldn't you also be sending an equal amount of hate aimed at unmarried heterosexual couples who are having sex? I mean they can ALREADY get married, right? So what's their excuse?
