Well its both, but it really belongs to African Americans. We are criticized heavily for everything that goes on invloving the genre no matter if you like it or not. It has forever been attached to us because we created it. Its fun to see all the other cultures and races try to be involved too though.

It's is the expression of a culture, it might not just be racial but it is mostly attributed to ghetto lifestyle or background.
