Is hair braiding mostly apart of Black culture?

I ask because I only know black people who can braid, like any type of hair style. Then I met few Asians who could. I know not one White or Hispanic person who can braid.
I like braids. I'm thinking about getting some. I just don't like the pain, lol
 
yeah, it's a proven fact braiding came from africa of course.
White people don't need braids of course, because their hair is stick straight.
Black people prefer braids to give their hair a rest or to put it in manageability. i had my hair braided alot of times.
I've been noticing that braids are very underrated in the black community now.
But Perms, relaxers and stuff are overrated in the black culture.

Look at Beyonce, her hair was in blonde braids before, now she has perms/relaxers straight hair.
