is giving out christian pamphlets illegal?

I've heard about incidents where in Massachusetts where people were handing out atheist pamphlets but I also heard in Texas, a lady was handing out Christian pamphlets to children. But the police found out and went to her and told her she was going to be arrested if she continued. If this is true, why is it okay to pass out atheist pamphlets but not Christian pamphlets?
 
It is not the content of a pamphlet in these two cases, it is the location and who they are being handed to that governs the legality of the activity....handing out ANYTHING to Minors (without parental consent) is illegal in both Texas AND Massachusetts. As it should be!

Filling children's heads with tales of a Magic Sky Daddy should result in jail time, not a "police warning"!
 
I saw a preacher being arrested on TV because he had stopped and was talking to a group of people that were outside waiting in line for something like DMV. They arrested him for just talking to people. So it's probably not illegal, I don't think what that preacher was doing was illegal, but cops aren't very tolerant of Christians in some areas. I don't mean to say all cops and all areas, but things like this happen, it's wrong.
 
You heard wrong...

No one has ever been arrested for handing out pamphlets...christian or otherwise. At least not in the US.
