I was told by a deacon, now a priest, that Christians aren't fundamentalists, meaning we do not believe in every word the Bible teaches.
Is the story of Adam and Eve, the tree of knowledge, and Lucifer just Hebrew Poetry written to interpret the beginning of the world and the beginning of sin? I'm just curious, because as a Christian I try my best to bring science into the question. I think of Adam and Eve as possibly two of the first tribes or tribe members who met and together disobeyed their conscience or a leader. Possibly?
