Is friday take out the trash day at the white house or a good day to hide the news?

Anyone else notice that its friday and from the whitehouse it's a good day to hand out the news(everyones more concerned about their weekend plans than the news).
More to the point, any one paying attention to the firing of an Inspector general who actually found misspending in a federal agency, and the person doing the misspending is an Obama supporter? But the Inspector General gets fired for bringing it to light.
actually I saw/heard this axiom on The West Wing....a long time before Bush 2.
 
Historically, the WH has used Fridays to pass unpopular bills/laws/etc because people aren't paying as much attention as they normally do during the week. As much as I dislike this administration, it isn't fair to blame just them. It's been going on for ages.
