Is fox news a credible news station?

After being a abroad for about a year, I stumbled across Fox news. At first I thought it was actually a parody of Right wing conservatives but as I watched on I realised it wasn't.

It was often amusing, rather like a drama series...

When I cam home I realised I indeed have the channel!

Without meaning to offending any viewers I ask, "Do you think Fox News is a credible news station and why?"
Yikes! So many people talking about Obama? Huh? Do be honest your president didn't even come to mind!

Though they did seem to have a lot of hate for the 'left' and 'liberals' and 'democrats' and everybody who didn't believe what they did. News will always be biased but it must try to present news in a fair and balanced way.

They did not try at all!
I'm afraid I did not watch MSNBC or CNN. But if they are anything as biased toward one group of the political or religious spectrum I really don't want too.

I expect news stations to try their best to avoid bias and will watch as many as I can as well as read newspapers etc...

This was biased beyond a level I can stand! I always thought the BBC was too biased to watch! Little did I know there was worse.

I gave my honest opinion and I'm sorry if it offends you.
 
Are you specifically talking about their New's segment or the channel as a "whole"? Cable "New's" (Fox, CNN, MSNBC), particularly from 5 p.m. - 11 p.m., is largely made up up editorials / commentator's who I don't really define as "New's".

Fox New's does have a normal "New's" segment and it isn't really to bad (though it still does lean slightly to the right..not nearly as bad as the editorials / commentators).
 
Judging by their coverage of the recent election it is clear that they are very baised. They should be fine for everything apart from politics, though.
 
lets see... they reported Michael Jackson was dead.
Obama was elected.
New Orleans got flooded.
Obama is going on a world apology tour while gutting the countries' economy.
Yes, i would say it is a credible news source.
I used to be a left wing drone that almost voted for Jesse Jackson.

I have since changed over to REAL UNBIASED news reporting: Fox News.
 
More so than any other biased liberal station......And please don't pretend that you aren't trying to offend viewers...because that is exactly what you are trying to do...."it was often amusing, rather like a drama series..."....
 
When one of their motto's is :WE REPORT, YOU DECIDE, I would have to answer no. What are you supposed to decide? Are they telling the truth maybe?
How can they be fair and balanced when they are totally right wing.
 
HELL YEAH!!!!!!! I watch all the news channels, and Expector is right... Theres so much media hype and bias and spin on the facts in todays media... What was yesterdays retraction, Is todays acceptance. Though times have changed, does the truth have to be changed as well? Truth was, is and shall always be.... You cant put spin on truth... Policy... not agenda!!!!!

It is rabid commentary pretending to be news.
They went to court in Florida to prove that NEWS does not have to be fair, balanced or accurate or even truthful, so long as someone believes it to be so.

Murdock paid off Bush to increase hie media holding, Bush changed the law about media concentration to let that happen.

America has the best politicians money CAN buy.
 
Fox CABLE News (it is not the number one news network - lol!!!!) is a 24/7 running informercial for the Republican party.
Anybody who can't see that (hmm, one clue might be that they NEVER criticize Republicans and ALWAYS criticize Democrats...no that's too hard) must be truly brain dead.
 
No it is not. It is definitely NOT, fair and balanced. Sadly, it has less fair content than the Daily Show on Comedy channel!
