I know there were some who accomplished very little, but even doing little is better than the destruction FDR did to the United States.
If you have any issues with government today, you have FDR to thank. He's the President who:
-Expanded government's size, going against the Constitution
-When the Supreme Court fought him, deciding the New Deal programs exceeded the limits of government, he intimidated them.
How could he do that?
-Roosevelt had a lot of power since he broke the time-honored tradition of two-term Presidents started by George Washington. He is the reason we needed to amend the Constitution.
-The New Deal, despite what text books tell you growing up, actually prolonged recovery. How long is up for debate.
FDR's legacy, more than any other President, is the inefficient, ineffective, unaccountable government we have today.
Agree or disagree?
EDIT:
Mr. Wordy-
Seriously? I forgot to add that he was a sissy and refused to go to Europe until it was almost too late. You know, the liberal "he didn't attack us" mentality? He sure could've saved millions if he jumped in earlier.
