I'm a guy, but the way the female characters on FG are used is starting to really irk me. We all know about the Meg-bashing, but I would say Lois isn't too far from Meg's position as she gets abuse her way as well. Not to mention that there's a lot of man-on-woman rape jokes that make light of the situation and for relationship episodes (like the Stewie/Olivia one), the girls are nagging shrews who like being treated like crap.
I'm know I'm probably being a bleeding-heart liberal, but then I considered how almost all the heavy-hitters comedywise and in terms of focus are the male characters including the Peter/Joe/Clevand/Quagmire foursome. Do the writers just not know how to write for women (just like they admit to Meg, except in her case, being a teenage girl)? Is it sexist? Or am I just a sensistive PC thug?
