I've read in many books that after we die and leave life on earth, we go back to our true home, let's call it the "The Other Side." On the Other Side, we continue to learn and grow more as an individual. Also, because we are back in our true nature, we are given 100% usage of our minds again and we are much wiser than when we were in bodies on earth, where we are surrounded by tons of the outside negativity that is ever so present in our everyday lives on earth...so you could say we are in a perfected state then...but let's not get too much into that right now. I'll worry about the other side when I'm dead, for right now I'm more concerned about learning to master being a human and experiencing life here...
My question is.... if we just go on living on the other side, and are never done growing and learning, then is trying to reach a state of perfection, in your life on earth, where your brain shuts of negative thinking forever a far fetched goal considering life on earth is NEVER going to be perfect?
Also, it seems like a MUCH more realistic goal for someone to go through life and use there time on earth to develop qualities like patience, kindness, love of self, love of others, and to learn to be a good person rather than trying to be a perfected person in an a very imperfect world.
Sure, I believe meditation and prayer are all good...but I don't think any amount of it will 100% distance us completely from the negativity and hurdles that life sometimes throws at us out of the blue.
Thanks for reading and much platonic love and respect to fellow truth seekers.
