is encyclopedia.com origanally a book?

i need a source that is found online thats was originally a book/or from a book. something like an ecyclopedia online, but i dont know if encyclopedia.com is orginally from a book, bc i cant find the author and all the other necassary info. please help? n if that website is, then can u tel me the author and publushe and things like that? will pick best answer
