I have light brown hair, and am thinking of dying it medium brown. I do not want it to look anywhere near black, so it would only be a couple shades up max.
I've never dyed my hair before, so there are no colors or chemicals in it right now. Is there the risk that the color might still end up darker or lighter than what the box shows? What is the worst thing that could happen?
Should I just spend some extra money and go to the salon? Or is it even worth it to dye hair?
