my friend asked me this and idk much about bikes so help me out plzz
and also tell me the average price for a new one

Ducati's make loud engine noises, and they vibrate a lot, they are expensive and even more expensive to repair.
You're better off to stick with any of the 4 major Japanese Brands

They're great, but different. I'm considering a MultiStrada, which is not a real adventure tourer, but a great commuter bike, with all kinds of luggage, etc. available. I recently rode a HyperMotard, which was AWESOME :-))))!!!! It took days to stop smiling, and I still grin when thinking about how it rides! The sportier Ducatis have the same ergonomics as the Japanese bikes: lay down over the tank and stick your feet in your bunghole. I can't hack that anymore, but they do have some "adult sized" bikes.

The only categories Ducati doesn't yet market to are true off-road and cruisers.
