I wouldn't say it's a great 1st bike but I would say that it's a great bike. I mean really great.....way beautiful/sexy. Fuck it if you can afford it, run with it. I just don't get the whole big bike thing...VFR 400, RGV 400, FZR 400. I've never needed to go over 135MPH, I'm harder on the breaks and if there are any turns, any turns at all, i'm faster than most 600 a lot of 750s and all 1000

Ya dude get one, twist the throttle wide open off the line and see what happens!!! You should top it out the first day too.

People buying super bikes for the first bike is the main reason as to why we see so many riders DEAD!

A Ducati of any kind is not a starter bike.

A 600 too small? 0-60 in 2.8 seconds is too small to you? what you need to go faster than 170 MPH?

"I want a fast bike" <--- Right there, that is the reason why you should never get a bike. If all you want to do is go fast then you are too immature to handle a motorcycle, of any kind.

since the 600 is to small yes this would be a good first bike. I think more than just a first bike but a life bike. This bike will be big and fast enough for you to be satisfied with the speed and the look. With a 134 hp and 166 top speed will give you the power you need. I was going to say try a 750cc Suzuki but looks like you found something a bit more powerful. Ride safe Friend. I included a source for you to check out. Later!
