is driving the 2008-2009 honda crv like driving a car?

i was planning to go test drive one, and i've heard that they drive like a car. is this true? what is the driving difference in the Front wheel drive and all wheel drive models? does anyone have one and like it? if so give me feedback please. i'm also looking at a rav 4. is the crv short people friendly? if not i'm planning to go with the civic or corolla.
 
CRV's drive great, I guess you could say that they drive like an accord. They fit shorter people really good. You probably won't notice a huge difference in the way a front wheel drive feels versus an all wheel drive. I know a lot of people that have them and love them. CRV's and Accords are the most dependable Hondas, I wouldn't own a civic they drive terrible compared to CRV's or Accords. I can't say much about Rav4's or Corolla's but they're good cars.
