Is Dark Knight better then the Godfather ?????

it would be in my top ten too, but then the godfather is only about 4th on my list even tho i know it is probably the best film ever, different strokes.
 
The Dark Knight is not even in the top 10 best movies ever. It was good, but way to god damned long. It is only getting great reviews because of Heath Ledger's death. It was the best Batman movie. Probably the best superhero movie. It is NOT the best movie.
 
I refuse to rank any art form this way, it's totally pointless. Each serves its own purpose, trying to put these things in some kind of objective order is an excercise in futility.

When I watched The Dark Knight I was riveted and got meaning and enjoyment out of it, the same goes for the Godfather and all other good movies. Why should I come up with arbitrary criteria and try to say one is better than the other?
 
It's like going to a flower garden and trying to rank which flowers are the prettiest, they all work together and contribute their own specific color and beauty to the world. You couldn't just have pink flowers or just yellow flowers, you need them all and none is better than the other. Same goes for movies.
