There is no shortage at all of grainy wedding photography but crisp pictures seem to be far and few between. Even when you do find it, it's either ridiculously expensive compared to the rest or a photographer might only have one crisp picture in a full album of grainy photos. Has anyone else noticed this or do people simply not like crisp pictures? The grainy pictures look like something that someone who has only picked up a camera for the very first time in their life can do with no problem. Since your wedding photos are the only tangible thing you have left after the day is over and you can't recreate the day if anything goes wrong, it doesn't make sense to me to have pictures that look like poor quality. Videography really isn't any different because unless you want grainy film, the crisp clear film is incredibly expensive if you can find it anywhere.
I've also noticed that even in larger cities (where we are looking), there are "top of the line" wedding photographers who are coveted for their so-called "excellent quality" despite being extremely expensive and their pictures are just as amateur-looking with the graininess as that of a lower-end photographer. So expensive and "top of the line" doesn't always mean better.
