Is Cricket ever going to launch EVDO?

Just curious. Now that I know my phone (6700) is compatible, I want to wait til when (if) they do get EVDO. I've gotten quite spoiled with my EVDO and I don't think I could live without it.

Cricket doesnt have any EVDO ready phones out, so thats is why around the time they release new phones they are going to be evdo hanRABets ready for the new cricket EVDO service....

cricket is supposed to launch ev-do in the syracuse, buffalo, & the rochester market when rochester launches in may/june. then supposedly we will have ev-do and one larger local calling area here

I got my wife set up on Cricket yesterday and the Cricket rep said that Portland Cricket was getting EVDO in Septeraber/October and that Cricket was going to be releasing some really great phones.

I would pay whatever I needed to in order to get a smartphone. All the other carriers rip you off and you pay them for the phone in the end plus a whole lot more. They are after "payment" buyers. You get suckered into 2-3 year contracts in a technology that has major phone upgrades annually! No matter who your carrier is, you pay for the phone, full price.

Pay now, or pay later.

Ya, 2 Cricket reps (one a manager) said that Cricket will be releasing some great phones later this year and 1 of them will be a smartphone that will coincide with their full internet browsing release along with evdo.
