Considering that the facts don't bear out the claims, and that global temperatures haven't risen in 10 years, and are predicted to possible drop slightly, in the years ahead, what gives?
Why all this attention on a mythical pseudo science on climate change?
Who stands to gain? why are so many people blindly following the religion of "Global Warming"?
A key question, which pretty much always holds true, when something doesn't make sense. Who stands to gain? Follow the money, and the answers will follow.
Also, whatever variation in temperatures, of climate changes, are caused by what? Where is the proof that man is causing any of it?
Natural occurances no doubt have a much greater ability to cause such changes; solar flares, volcanoes, earthquakes releasing methane, etc.
It is my opinion that this is just a political movement, possibly an anti-capitialist movement, but "who stands to gain?" is still the overriding question
Ab, I'd just like to respond.
None of what you said offends me.
What offends me is that legislation is being proposed that will have a detrimental effect on businesses, and our economy in general.
Being green, recycling, lowering emissions voluntarilly doesn't bother me.
Forcing me to subsidize other's choices is wrong.
This isn't a case of better safe than sorry. I recycle, I try to conserve.
I just don't believe we have THAT big of an impact. And I'm not going to ask my neighbors to make major changes, based on such uncertain science.
I think Environmental Studies is a good thing to get into, and hope more people actually see what's going on, and what's not, and if cause can be proven and if not.
Global emissions of C02 have increased greatly over the past 10 years, yet temps have not increased at all.
Graphs shown below are based on flawed data.

A serious error was found in the NASA temperature data for the United States in 2007. When corrected, it was determined that the warmest year in the past 100 years was not in 1998 and 2006 as previously believed, but was 1934, followed 1998. 1921 became the third hottest year, followed by 2006 and 1933. Out of the five hottest years, three occurred in the 1920s and 30s and only two were in the past 10 years. This dramatically changes scientists understanding of the importance of the warming that has occurred since 1975. The period between 1995 and 2009 is no warmer than the period between 1920 and 1935. This error in the NASA data has lead to discoveries of other errors in the data which are raising concern about data integrity of NASA's Goddard Institute of Space Studies
