There are creeps, frauds, sociopaths and every other fake in the church. I go for Christ, but how can a woman be sure when she is dating someone, that they are not wacko? The last church I attended for 10 yrs had child molesters preying on well meaning women. It's discouraging that there seem to be no real men with integrity in the world left. Men in bars may be honest about their drinking, smoking or womanizing habits, but no woman wants them either unless she is desperate. I have watched men twist scriptures and be control freaks, I have seen them be too passive, it's weird how this world is now I am not sure some people who call themselves Christians really are Christians.
