Is choosing your relationship over your education ever a good thing?

Today,
A friend of mine skipped out of two finals because he wanted to be with his Girlfriend- because they're not going to see each other for almost two months.
While i can understand that they love each other, i don't understand how that gave him the excuse to be irresponsible- not just for school, but for himself.

But i'm not sure if i'm just not understanding it very well- because neither of them is allowed to date.

But still, it bothered me. He chose to be with her (which is kinda cute) over his finals.

But they were his FINALS.


Is choosing your relationship over your education ever a good thing? Can it be?
 
no, it's not a good thing. you can't be too sure if a relationship would lasts a lifetime but you can bet a million dollar that your education will see you through life.
 
Yes it is a good thing to choose school over a relationship any day education is key and who is to say that person would be there for the rest of your life and you would need some thing to fall back on
