is chevy suburban better than ford excursion?

i am looking to buy an suv with more room and do not know which one to get. i heard that ford has some spark plugs problems and i do not know much about chevy.
 
Since the Excursion is no longer being built, I assume you're looking for a used vehicle. Avoid 04 - 05 excursions, and 03 suburbans, and 06 suburban 2500's. The 05 Excursion has 7 problem areas which are rated "much worse than average. The 05 Suburban has one problem area which is rated "below average". Based on these figures, the Suburban is way better. The Excursion's reliabilit stats are absolutely terrible.
 
My modest femalee opinion is that the Suburban is way best to the Excurions, both because its body is lighter and this allows better handling (even if it is not a sport car, obviously) and less gas needed, and also because I have been reading that the Excursion (no more produced) had several engine problems that Suburban had not.

Personally, I would go for the Suburban!
 
Yes the Suburban is way better. The Excursion seems nice but my neighbor has one and she can never get it to start. Plus the excursion is retired and it has been replaced by the Expedition EL which my neighbor also has had for a month at it has already been to the repair shop multiple times. My Suburban that I have had for a year has only been to the repair shop to change the oil.
