Is Cheerleading a real sport?

I am a cheerleader and i'm sick of everyone saying it's not a sport. I want to know what you think.

ohhh emm gee! same has happened to me. CHEERLEADING IS A SPORT EVERYBODY! we work really hard for what we do, same as any other sport: TIMES 5! we throw dangerous stunts, we have great gymnastics skills, and we have skills combined of gymnasts and dancers. it makes me sooo mad people think cheerleading is not a sport. and the funny thing is, is that they say that BECAUSE THEY ARE JEALOUSSS! hahaha.

if you wanna give me any tips that would be great

Personally I think its nothing even close to a sport. Its more of an activity like band or modeling.

Although it does have similarities to sports:

* You can win or lose (kinda of)
* You have pratice
* It is somewhat physical

And I could go some but I'm gunna grab something to eat.
