Or is that sort of stuff kept under the table?

Do you need to see someone's caste certificate before deciding if you'll have anything to do with them or not?

What if your brahmin daughter brought her dalit boyfriend home to meet the family? Would that cause any family tensions?

What about interracial marriages? Would it be considered ok in Indian society for an Indian woman to marry a Chinese man?

Good one Mac..."even homosexuality is being accepted"....who would have guessed that after reading about infanticide and the fact that there are probably 100 to 200 million more men than women in India.

It may be true that some indians marry "outside" their caste but the vast majority still follow their strict stone age guidelines.

"Endogamy: A Hindu may not marry outside his caste or his particular sub-caste which according to social custom is considered endogamous."

marriages in india have already been arranged before birth.
if it's a girl, she marries her uncle
if it's a boy, he marries his aunty

ahaha it seems that our questions are having an effect on the self proclaimed 'unflapable' ashish fatboy bhatia. what's wrong ashish, can't handle the heat?
