Is cancer less severe if it returns a 2nd time?

My mom who is 63 years old had breast cancer over 8-9 years ago and underwent surgery to remove her breast, the lymph nodes under her right arm (28 of them were cancerous) chemo therapy, radiation, and therapy. She's battled it and won it the first time around and I'm really grateful she made it. Unfortunately, this cancer has left it's tracks behind. Her immune system isn't as normal as yours and I and isn't as strong, so she gets the flu easily. She has asthma and other breathing complications because of the chemo therapy. She's been taking medications for this for the past 8-9 years and hasn't improved.

I'm not sure for how long she's kept this from me, but she reveled today her test results show that the cancer MIGHT have come back. She's been having back pains and breathing complications for the past 2 months. It just came rolled off her tongue like sweat rolls off our foreheads. And to be quite honest, this really pisses me off. It angered me so much that I broke the car windshield with my fist out of anger and rage.

This is her fault. I've told her for years not to get so worked up for nothing. Not to do any of the household chores that are stressful on her body. She never listens to me, and now she just doesn't have the fight in her to make through a 2nd time if And I hope to god the tests come back negative, cancer comes back. She already told her doctors and my sister who accompanies her to all her doctor visits that she just wants to give up and let it do it's work and kill her.
