is camping in modern warefare 2 illegal?

Hey I am new to online games in general and I suck at games. One day, my friend came over and we played a bit of modern warefare 2. He watched me play for a while and noticed that I camp in every match and I stay at the same spot the whole game. He told me not to because I can get banned from xbox live and fined from the police for camping. He told me he camped for a while and got a 3 month ban and 200$ fine! Is he tellnig the truth? Because I try not to camp any more and my kill death ratio is 0.14 with 5391 kills. My accuracy is 6.34% Any one wanna play? my gamer tag is MarryPoohBear23
 
Well I don't think camping is illegal. Just don't to it to much. I camp every now and then but not 24/7. Still, im unsure. Just dont to it to much. My gamertag is exactly like this: oOViiTaLiiTyoO
 
Haha, you can't get banned for camping in a video game. Don't sweat it. It is a tactic usually used by those that are new to games to get ahead of others. It is quite annoying to other people in the game, but it is 100% Legal. I suggest that as you get better at the game, that you camp less and less.


EDIT: A 200 dollar fine? Now I'm sensing fiction in your question. That is ridiculous if you actually believed that your friend was fined 200 dollars for playing a video game a certain way.
