Is cable tv worth it anymore?

some decent shows are out there, but they are getting harder and harder to find. repeats are a problem. late night tv used to have content, now it's almost all infomercials. I get around that by DVRing what little appeals to me. I watch that a lot now. Some cable channels play the same movie 2, 3, or 4 times. trying to get the most out of the rental fee I guess. reruns make accountants happy, but nobody watches. so we should kill all the accountants next. I'm just sayin.

i don't think cable tv is worth what they charge anymore but if you want to watch something half way decent you got to pay. fact of life i guess.

Not everything is available online. Cable companies offer a lot of extras like on demand, features, games, etc since they are aware that the internet has a lot of TV content available.

They are too expensive.

I remember in the 70's and 80's, tv shows were free.

90's, cablevision was $20.

Now it is $50 or more, depend on how many cable boxes you have.
