Is buying a 3D TV really worth the money?

What brand would you recommend? The series? I live in a family of four, plus my brother and I always have at least one friend over so we'd need one where the glasses weren't too pricey.
 
Yes! Buying a 3d tv is definlty worth the $$$! I wouldn't know what brand to reccommend because of the pprice, but they r worth it totally!
 
I wouldn't do it unless you have deep pockets and it becoming obselete quickly isn't an issue. All new tv styles are usually outdated within 6 months of their release. Just look at LCD / plasma. Just now after over 5 years are prices and models starting to become stable and we're seeing that huge price gap between models close. I would wait to at least see if 3D even has some staying power.
