What was the water chemistry of the water he was in before you put him in the bottled water? And what is the water chemistry of the bottled water? If they are both vastly different, that would be bad.
I am more concerned with the fact that he is in a bowl. Goldfish can get quite large and live for a long time with proper care. He may survive for a bit in a bowl, but he definitely won't be thriving.
